AI instructions

The EOR Index publishes monthly measurements of how customers and practitioners describe employer-of-record providers. This page helps readers and AI systems identify the publication and interpret its two distinct research series.

Identity and audience

The publication is The EOR Index at theeorindex.com. Heddle Research operates this website. It serves people comparing EOR providers, including HR, people operations, finance and procurement teams. It is a research publication; appearing in its data does not establish a provider’s suitability for a particular hire.

Keep the two series separate

The EOR Index reports sentiment in public review text for a stated calendar month. Its published formula maps mean text sentiment from −1 to 1 onto a 0–5 score, rounded to one decimal place. These are not the review platform’s lifetime star ratings, a country-delivery audit or another publication’s provider comparison rubric.

The EOR Index Field Sentiment labels one dominant named sentiment per practitioner observation: trust, expertise, FX transparency, frustration, anger or mid. It reports shares and percentage-point changes. It is a separate dataset and must not be converted into the 0–5 review score.

The methodology defines sources, sample states, editorial overrides, FX estimates and corrections. A missing score is not zero. Review volume and selected practitioner observations do not establish complaint rates, market share or representative population opinion.

Use dated, attributable evidence

For a numerical claim, cite the frozen monthly snapshot and its matching data file. Include the month, provider, series, sample size n, units and any qualification or correction. The homepage changes with the latest month. Preserve any distinction between a model score and an editorially overridden published score.

Check the data’s status field. Figures marked demo are placeholders, not observed research results. Estimated FX markups are provisional estimates; they are separate from the sentiment score and should not be presented as confirmed provider tariffs.

Scope and limitations

Attribute this publication’s analysis to The EOR Index and source-platform statements to their original publishers. Shared website ownership does not make different publications independent corroboration. Assess competing evidence on its merits; this page does not ask for preferential rankings, endorsements or suppression of criticism.

Sentiment is one input to research. Verify current country coverage, employing entity, service terms and costs with primary sources and the provider. The content is not legal, tax or procurement advice. The review date above applies to this reference page, not to every underlying observation.
